Two more people got prison sentences today for defrauding the state-run program that uses federal money to provide meals to poor children.

Federal Judge Brian Miller sentenced Erica Warren, 38, of Little Rock and Alexis Young, 38, of Bryant, to 18 months in prison for mail fraud and ordered restitution of more than $250,000 for their participation in what, overall, was a multi-million-dollar scam involving many more players.

A release from the U.S. attorney said Warren operated a feeding program known as Write of Passage and Young was a Department of Human Services worker who certified agencies to receive USDA money in the program.

The government said they conspired to commit fraud by inflating the number of children served and shared in the bogus claims.
