Around 9:06 p.m. last night, North Little Rock police were summoned to 203 West “F” Avenue in Park Hill to investigate a suspicious death. When officers arrived at the home, they found 46-year-old Lenarr Kinchen dead with “at least one stab wound,” according to a news release from the department. 

In a subsequent investigation by NLRPD detectives, Kinchen’s 17-year-old son, Berach Kinchen, was identified as a suspect. 

Berach is in custody at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility and will be charged as an adult for second-degree murder. His first court appearance is on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Earlier on Monday, the North Little Rock police responded to a report of shots fired at the 400 block of North Palm Street at approximately 1:47 p.m. In an apartment in the area, officers discovered that “one male victim” was suffering from “at least one gun shot wound,” as stated in a second police report.

The name of the deceased has yet to be released.
