A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed last night in the Indian Hills area of North Little Rock.
At about 8:08 p.m., North Little Rock police officers responded to the area of JFK Boulevard and Osage Drive in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, according to a statement from the department. Officers found a deceased adult male lying in the middle of the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle had been traveling north on JFK Boulevard when the accident occurred and remained on the scene afterward. The driver was interviewed by detectives and no charges have been filed at this time, the police said.
The name of the victim has not been released.

UPDATE:
The North Little Rock Police Department has identified the victim as 71-year-old Mark Lorge of North Little Rock and said the driver of the vehicle is a 66-year-old North Little Rock resident but didn’t provide the driver’s name. The driver is cooperating fully with the investigation, the department said.
