“Little Rock will conduct a national search for a new director of planning and development after current Director Jamie Collins’ resignation, said Aaron Sadler, Little Rock communications director.
Collins’ last day will be June 28. Bradley Jordan, manager of the city’s development division, will act as interim director, Sadler said.
“Jamie is an exemplary public servant and we appreciate his leadership and expertise serving the City of Little Rock’s residents and business community,” Sadler said via email. “While we will certainly miss him, we wish him all the best on his new career move.”
According to Collins’ LinkedIn profile, that new career move is a position at Neel-Schaffer, a national engineering firm.
A licensed engineer in Arkansas and California, Collins started working for Little Rock in 2012 as a civil engineer and was promoted to director of planning and development in 2017.Â
The director of planning and development is responsible for overseeing the city’s building, planning, development and engineering divisions. “
