Entergy, which recently settled a complaint with Mississippi about charging ratepayers too much for the Grand Gulf nuclear power plant, has an offer on the table to settle similar complaints in Louisiana and Arkansas.

The Advocate reports from Louisiana that Entergy is prepared to pay $588 million to Louisiana and Arkansas, with $142 million going to Arkansas. In Mississippi’s $300 million settlement, some of the money went to ratepayers and other money was designated to offset the rising cost of generator fuel. No details offered yet on how the Arkansas money would be split.

Tax maneuvers, executive pay and operating costs are among the factors in complaints about overcharges to customers for the plant in Mississippi.
